A dish for dinner that's very easy, healthy and delicious with cumin that brings an Arab flavor, accompanied with tuna.

Alright, alright. So, we all love a good recipe...but there's more to it than salivating over the delicious smell of a meal and satisfied tastebuds.

Let's dive in.

Brown Rice: Relatively low in calories (216 calories per cup). It's packed full of phytonutrients, minerals, and cancer-fighting properties. It is lower on the glycemic index so it's great for not hammering on our pancreas and our insulin levels. It creates a prime home for your cells to regenerate, and preventing birth defects from the folic acid that is in it!

Tuna: If you are in my home and decide to peek into one of my cabinets (go ahead, make yourself at home) it won't take you long to find my stash of Tuna fish. These heart-friendly packed cans offer benefits of lowered cholesterol, better blood pressure, that beautiful skin of yours, bone health, and it gives you energy! PHEW! I'm out of breath!

Cumin: I can't even Cumin-icate how great the health benefits of Cumin are! Haha. You love my puns...  Cumin can help with blood sugar, blood pressure, weight loss, your immune system and more!

See why it's so important to stay away from processed and packaged foods as much as possible? You lose all those nutrients that are typically stripped out during the process!

Ingredients:

ice:1 cup full rice (cooked)

  • 1 cumin tbsp
  • 1 box tuna
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • Salt

   Preparation:

  1. In a pan warm a little coconut oil
  2. Add soy sauce and cumin and salt to your taste
  3. Add the cooked rice and sauté it so that it mixes well with the other ingredients (6 min - over low heat)
  4. Move the rice to a dish
  5. Add tuna and a little of parsley to add a touch of freshness
